4th Birthday Bash

 Happy 4th Birthday!

I apologize for the unfortunately not great pictures below. The settings were on the wrong icon and my mom was taking pictures to help me so I had no clue until after the party.

I was not planning to have a party for Beckam until...He told me while I was brushing his hair about 3 weeks before who he would be inviting to his big party! "WHAT, a party. OK I better throw something together since we have never had a party, Oh ya and don't worry Beckam about the fact that I only had a baby 6 weeks ago."

Once HE decided upon a theme I started prepping with plates, napkins ect. I originally thought about 4 kids and apparently he had other plans. He continued to add to his list of friends and the total ended up being 10 including him so I headed back to the stores for more.

We had the party on May 4th which I found out through FB the morning of that it was apparently MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU day. I had no idea Star Wars Junkies had a specific day to celebrate their inner Star Wars fantasies. Not only was it the star wars junkies dream day, it was his star wras themed party and he was turning 4 May 4th. I later assumed people probably thought we were junkies and didnt realize it was a birthday. So emarrssed.

I had thought the park was a great place to have a party, no mess, easy clean up. toys to keep the kids interest, ect....NEVER AGAIN, WHAT was I thinking. Keeping track of 10  3-4 year olds for 2 hours was way too stressful for me.

We made little Jedi costumes for them to wear once they arrived. We also had them make Light sabers which were totally cute and they all loved making them.

I also let #1 stay home from school that morning so she could come. She was pretty sad thinking she was not going to be able to come and I knew it would be a life lesson to teach her that our family comes before anything and we need to support each other. I also twisted her arm and told her she had to wear her Padme costume she had from another friends birthday she had gone to.

You can hardly see with the bad light but #1 is there on the red space ship toy.

Many of the kids came dressed , hair in buns, and light saber ready!

I volunteered a Jedi Master to teach the Jedi in training. (I'm sure he was thrilled to do this) He taught them how to fight and prepare for battle.

They went on a march before they could go play on the park and ran into a Storm trooper.
They were a little hesitant at first but quickly remembered to FIGHT for the good.

#2 is below with the Darth Mal saber.

Originally Beckam had has of Darth Vader could attend, then he changed it to Darth Mal. After coaxing him that they would be too scary for some of the kids he settled with a trooper.

#2: I not scared of Darth Mal
Mom: I know but some kids might be
#2: Oh fine, a storm trooper then

If you can't tell them trooper was aka DAD.  He had his shirt inside out, black gloves, temple pants, and a $14 mask from Target that talked.

I also saw a ship made from cardboard online and thought it was cute but did not have a big cardboard box just laying around. They day before the party my parents just happen to buy a new bed and had boxes galore. I was so excited to build this for him. With the help  of dad this ship was the hit of the party.

We also played pin the buns on Princess Lia and pin the ears on Yoda.

My bubbas had a great day and told me that night thank you for his party and a real storm trooper along with a hug and kiss.
(I was exhausted and told the hubby to please remind him when he is 16 and is embarressed and hates him mom that I stayed up till 1:30am to prep for his party along with getting up at 4:00am to feed his baby sister.)

Always dressed in a costume, jammies or no shirt (and underwear under his pants) around the house.
